Kanda In the Knot
I’m the worst blogger ever - I have so many images to post from this summer! At the moment however - I’ll take a moment to brag, Erin and Andy’s wedding from last September is in the latest issues of the Knot.

I’m the worst blogger ever - I have so many images to post from this summer! At the moment however - I’ll take a moment to brag, Erin and Andy’s wedding from last September is in the latest issues of the Knot.

The past few months have been the craziest ever! Between teaching Portraiture at the New England School of Photography, Moving (into the new house - yay) and traveling - I’ve barely been able to breathe…but the Kanda blog is back….
I promise to add some pictures from some recent shoots but first, one of my favorite finds while on the road in April…
I ordered hot chocolate at the Albina Cafe in Portland, OR and thought it was taking forever for them to make it until they handed me this:

I was nervous to drink it but amazingly the pattern stayed until the very last sip!

What a cool cup of hot chocolate!
I spend a lovely Saturday morning this weekend with Owen & Emily. Owen just turned 3 months- and it’s amazing how many expressions he has! Here are some of the images:
He’s not being choked! This is how Owen likes to be burped…. it makes his cheeks so cute….
Big sis Emily was a big help - so we also did some shots with her big girl bed….
One of the reasons I’m so slow in getting my blog rolling - is that I spend all of my free time working on my future home with my boyfriend Steve… it’s been a long process but hopefully by May we’ll be in the new digs. My mom really wants to see pictures of the granite that was put in not to long ago, so I took some pictures for her this weekend. It’s funny how excited I’ve become about small details, like electrical sockets and faucets, but they are currently the newest and therefore the most exciting stuff in the house!!
Here’s Steve in front of a newly framed doorway…..
Love those new electrical sockets
and faucets….
shot of the granite for my mom!
and finally how beautiful is the detail on this radiator (I stripped it and it took like 3 days - so I think it’s the best radiator ever!)
I’m finally getting around to the first KandA Images blog post. It’s taken me a little while get things figured out (I know it’s not that hard….but). Anyway - you can check back here for all the latest happenings at KandA frequently because it’s my Valentine’s Day resolution to keep this blog up (Hey when New Year’s is inconvenient….).
Anyway since it is Valentine’s Day I thought I would share a few pics - and my very favorite wedding story from last year.
My Aunt Patrice who has always been near and dear to me got married in October. She is an amazingly loving and generous person who had spent years and years taking care of other people (family members, friends) and just never got around to meeting the right guy …. then along came Bill who had also spent years and years taking care of other people and never got around to meeting the right woman. So last October my whole family gathered outside of Chicago to see them tie the knot - both for the first time at 56 (although you should see them together they act like teenagers)!!
So to my Aunt Patrice and new Uncle Bill - Happy Valentine’s Day and many more to come!!!
Aunt P. does not look 56!
